Project Heroes™

a national exhibition of portraits and memorabilia, is being created by artists Susan Abma, Shairl Honey, and Cindy Revell as a way for Canadians to show their gratitude to the soldiers who died in the afghanistan war. The exhibition will consist of portraits of each of the fallen soldiers, commemorative paintings, memorabilia from families of the soldiers, multimedia, and more. The exhibit is expected to begin touring Canada in 2011.

To cover the huge expenses of this cross country exhibition, Project Heroes is raising money via sponsorship, making this project a truly Canadian effort. Fifteen percent of all proceeds will be donated to a charity benefiting the soldiers’ families and/or war veterans. Through Project Heroes, Canadians can honour and give thanks to the soldiers and their families for the sacrifices they have made for our country.

We are in the process of contacting the families of the fallen soldiers to obtain permission to paint the portraits. If you have not yet been contacted please call or email us at info@projectheroes.ca. The paintings will be done in the order we receive permission.
